How this selector works
The optional AI helper translates a plain-English description into the same guided questions shown on the page. It does not choose the material. A fixed set of rules then compares weather exposure, abrasion, airflow, handling frequency, cold conditions, and the type of job.

The Guided Questions mode works entirely in your browser. If the AI helper is busy or its daily allowance is reached, you still get the complete rules-based selector without an account.
What the result means
The result is a material-family starting point—not a product certification. Two tarps sold under the same family name can differ in base fabric, coating, seams, hems, grommets, UV package, cold flexibility, and finished size. Use the recommendation to narrow the field, then verify the exact product specification.

Safety and performance limits
This tool does not design cargo securement, roof anchoring, fall protection, structural repairs, powered tarp systems, or wind-load resistance. It also does not predict lifespan or guarantee waterproof, UV, flame, strength, or temperature performance.
